Civil Services being a public administration in direct actions requires the Civil Servants to keep aware and updated about all the latest Public Welfare Schemes and Policies launched (and any latest announcements) by the Government of India. Public Welfare Schemes and policies are largely meant to influence the entire society in different capacities and Civil Servants are to implement the same in an effective Public Administration. And thus, an Administrator must be well versed with various schemes and programs, to the depth of its provisions, and utilise the same in their actions and decisions. Students can read these schemes from Current Affairs (read them on a regular basis for follow-up updates), Budgets (For financial) & Economic Surveys (for analysis), Questions can be framed from Jan-Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, UDAN, Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP), etc.

  1. Bills, Acts and recommendations passed (important pending ones too) by the Indian Parliament

Indian parliament sanctions various important bills, acts and recommendations, every year, which directly or indirectly affect the public. Directly relating to the Public welfare, questions in Civil Services Examination are also framed from the provisions of these bills, acts and recommendations. To keep updated with the same, aspirants must regularly read from the PRS (also from their annual report) and the PIB website for the latest updates and information.   1. Major Achievements of India, especially in the field of Science and Technology (Space Missions, advancements and inventions in the field of Defence, etc.)
